Wine Tourism
The estate where includes Casa do Valle has ideal conditions for wine tourism and rural tourism. Integrated on the Vinho Verde Wine Route, the Casa do Valle offers other 17th century house, restored and ready to receive guests that can rest there, enjoying the ideal places to practice hunting, fishing, extreme activities such as rafting, paragliding, among others, and have the opportunity to learn about the culture and production of Vinho Verde.
Opened after being restored in April 1996, the house, with capacity for eleven people, provides for the exclusive use of the Guests, two lounges, a dining room, kitchen, five double bedrooms and one single.
The swimming pool is set in a garden with panoramic views over the vineyards and mountains of the region of Basto, where highlights of the Senhora da Graça's Mount.
The region of Basto offers to the visitor landscapes arranged in an amphitheater on the Tamega river surrounded by a group of mountain formations cut by small tributaries and lusciously painted by the mixture of green oaks and pine trees and pink and yellow tones of the different varieties of heather.
Highlight for the Alvao's natural park in particular the site known as the Fisgas situated in Ermelo, the genuineness takes place in the county, the region is well known for its unique and rare natural values. This is a region with schistose formations of great geological and scenic interest, whose fulcrum is the waterfall in the River Olo, the Fisgas do Ermelo; the Serra da Cabreira, as well as the rich built heritage as a bridge of Cavez (10th Century), the Monastery of St. Miguel de Refojos (Origin in the 12th century and rebuilt in the 17th century), Castle of Arnoia (10th century), the statue of Dom Basto (symbol of the region) among others.
With the new highways - A7 and A24 - Casa do Valle is 60 minutes from the Porto, 35 m. Guimaraes, 25 m. from Vidago's Golf Course, 35 m. from Vila Real and 45 m. Peso da Regua (Douro).
